Becoming for others what we once needed

NAAMIS Foundation was born out of lived experience, resilience and a deep belief in the power of education, compassion and community.

Our story

Our journey began in circumstances marked by real hardship. Growing up, we faced poverty, limited access to basic needs, and schooling in poorly resourced classrooms.

These conditions could easily have put out our hope. Instead they lit a lasting conviction: that every child, whatever their background, deserves a fair opportunity to learn, grow and thrive.

Despite the limits of our environment, we came to see education as a powerful tool for change. More than that, we learned that success is rarely achieved alone. The encouragement, sacrifices and guidance of teachers, mentors, family members, elders and community supporters shaped our lives. Their belief in us, often shown through small but meaningful acts, made the difference between despair and possibility.

No child's future should be decided by the circumstances of their birth.

Why we started

These experiences planted the seed for NAAMIS Foundation. As a couple, we share one vision: to give back to the community and become for others what we once needed ourselves.

Too many children still face barriers such as limited access to quality education, poor nutrition and few chances to develop their talents. At the same time, many older persons live with poverty, isolation, poor health and weak support systems that wear away their dignity and wellbeing.

What we do about it

NAAMIS Foundation exists to help break these cycles of vulnerability and exclusion. We create pathways of hope by making sure children have access to education, proper nutrition, mentorship and supportive environments that unlock their full potential.

We are equally committed to the dignity, wellbeing and inclusion of older persons, by supporting access to healthcare, social protection, community care and opportunities to remain active and valued members of society.

Our dream

A future where vulnerable children thrive, older persons age with dignity, families are strengthened, communities are empowered, and opportunity is not a privilege for a few, but a right for all.

Driven by gratitude, empathy and responsibility

By fostering solidarity between generations and resilience in our community, we seek to create lasting positive change.

Gratitude

For how far we have come, and for everyone who carried us along the way.

Empathy

For those still facing the hardship we know first-hand.

Responsibility

To support both the young and the old, because strong communities hold every generation.

From our founders

A note from the couple behind NAAMIS

"We believe that no child's future should be determined by the circumstances of their birth, and that no older person should face hardship, neglect or exclusion in their later years."

NAAMIS Foundation is how we give back to the community that carried us. We stand with children who are where we once were, and with older persons who deserve to be respected, protected and able to age with dignity. Lasting change happens together, so we invite you to join us.
